چکیده
The Late Triassic Carnian Pluvial Episode (CPE; ca. 234–232 Ma) was characterized by dramatic global temperature and humidity increases, which in many terrestrial settings accompanied changes from arid to humid vegetation types. This study reviews current evidence of floral composition distribution during the CPE analyzes spatial temporal variation with relation potential environmental driving mechanisms. متن کاملTaphonomy and palaeoecology of Late Triassic (Carnian) ammonoid concentrations from the Taurus Mountains, Turkey
The deposits of the Carnian Kasımlar Formation within the Taurus Platform Units of south-western Turkey represent an important archive of a Late Triassic ecosystem. New palaeontological information was obtained by analysing the Kasimlarceltites mass occurrence, located within the Kasımlar Formation and named after the Lower Carnian (Julian) ammonoid genus Kasimlarceltites. This is the dominant ...

Diminutive Metoposaurid Skulls from the Upper Triassic Blue Hills (adamanian:latest Carnian) of Arizona
We describe two tiny metoposaurid specimens from the lower part of the Chinle Group in the Blue Hills of east-central Arizona. The more complete of these specimens is an incomplete skull anterior to the orbits (45 mm preorbitallength) and numerous skull roof and palate fragments. The less complete specimen is a 25-mm-long skull roof fragment surrounding the left orbit. Based on the sutural rela...

Adamanasuchus eisenhardtae is a new genus and species of aetosaur from the Upper Triassic (Adamanian: late Carnian) Blue Mesa Member of the Petrified Forest Formation (Chinle Group) in the Petrified Forest National Park, east-central Arizona. Known from part of its dorsal armor, caudal vertebrae, and a femur, A. eisenhardtae is distinguished by relatively narrow and arched paramedian osteoderms...
